Why Tuning Forks & Drumming Helps

How Tuning Forks Work

What children experience

What children experience

Tuning forks provide predictable, gentle sound and vibration. We pair them with breath, timing, and movement to create short, repeatable routines. For many children—especially those with ADHD or learning differences—these routines can support settling the nervous system, sustaining attention for tasks, and practicing listening‑in‑noise.

Why tuning forks for ADHD & learning differences?

Regulation before expectation

Regulation before expectation

Regulation before expectation

Brief tonal routines help many children find a calmer baseline, making it easier to engage with speech, literacy, and executive‑function tasks.

Auditory attention & timing

Regulation before expectation

Regulation before expectation

Steady tones and rhythmic pauses support selective listening, turn‑taking, and prosody—skills often related to classroom participation.

Sensory‑friendly inputs

Sensory‑friendly inputs

Gentle sound and optional light vibration can be easier to tolerate than loud or unpredictable stimuli, especially in group settings.

  • Shared language across home and school teams

Data & Collaboration

We use simple observation checklists, short attention tasks, and team feedback to monitor outcomes. We coordinate with IEP/504 teams, therapists, and families to align routines with existing goals.

Results vary. Workshops are educational and supportive; they are not a substitute for individualized therapy or medical care.
